Safeway’s app illustrates the ship motion occurring in offshore conditions during deployment of a Safeway gangway. The app aims to provides insight on the extend of the motions related to the wave direction, wave height and
period. Also the location of the gangway bridge on the vessel deck and the height above sea level are taken in to consideration.
In game-like environment the app shows the main movements of the gangway (luffing, slewing and telescoping, roll compensation) with the physical limits of the Safeway unit.
